What a day!  God is good and we had a great time today.  There were 61 people in attendance for our first weekly service, including 7 first time guest families.  Some thoughts from the day:

• Setup went great – many hands made light work – and the school was ready an hour ahead of time
• A number of our launch team members were out of town or working today, but the folks that were there were amazing
• In addition, we had a group of people in town from South Carolina to help out and they were great (more on them later)
• The cafe looked better than ever and served as a great place for people to connect with each other
• Iron City Kids was set up in record time and we had children in each section
• The band did another excellent job — started the day with the classic “Drift Away” (Give me the beat…)
• We are maxing out our sound system already on day one — time to upgrade
• I went over on my message length today, but I was feeling it — I just love this

All in all, I was hoping for more people today (as usual), but it was an awesome start.  The next test comes over these next few weeks as our systems get up and running and the momentum starts building.  Our advertising campaign is getting some awesome buzz through the website and word of mouth.  Keep praying as the movement has begun . . .
