Game Speed

A lot of my personality and work ethic was honed on the football field growing up. It’s cool that God is letting us start Iron City Church on a similar timeline to the football season.Â
This summer we met once a month and worked on much of the preparation and legwork — learning the playbook, getting in shape, practicing, etc.  Now, just as fall is approaching we’re about to Kick-Off weekly services (less than 4 days now), just like the first game of the season.Â
One thing I remember most about the first game of the season is that no matter how much you had worked out, practiced, and scrimmaged, the speed of things is always faster in the game. I can already feel the pace of things ramping up this week. I always did better during the season because I like being a little overloaded and functioning at game speed. That’s what this week has felt like so far and I’m loving it!
